TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective Date: March 18, 2026

 

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the accommodations, restaurants, facilities, events, activities, and services of Abatan Riverview Resort (“Resort,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

 

By making a reservation, checking in, purchasing a service, entering the Resort, or using any Resort facility, the guest agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Reservations and Booking

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by the Resort. Guests are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including name, contact details, dates of stay, number of guests, and other information required to process the reservation. A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required confirmation, deposit, or payment specified by the Resort. Rates, inclusions, promotions, and applicable conditions may vary depending on the booking channel, room type, date, and promotional offer.

 

  1. Check-In and Check-Out

Guests must present valid identification and provide the information required for registration upon check-in. Standard check-in and check-out times shall be based on the Resort’s current operating policy and the guest’s confirmed booking. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may be subject to additional charges. The Resort reserves the right to refuse accommodation where the guest is unable to meet reasonable registration, identification, payment, or safety requirements.

 

  1. Occupancy and Additional Guests

Guests must observe the maximum occupancy applicable to their booked room. Additional guests, visitors, extra beds, meals, or other services may incur additional charges. Visitors may be subject to Resort registration and operating-hour restrictions. The Resort may require additional charges or refuse accommodation where occupancy limits or safety requirements are exceeded.

 

  1. Payment

All applicable room, food and beverage, event, activity, and other charges must be settled according to the payment terms communicated by the Resort. The Resort may require a deposit, advance payment, or authorization before confirming certain reservations or services. Guests are responsible for all charges incurred during their stay or under their reservation, including applicable taxes, fees, damages, or additional services.

 

  1. Cancellation, Modification, and No-Show

Cancellation and modification conditions depend on the booking rate, promotional offer, booking channel, and applicable reservation terms. Promotional and discounted rates may have stricter cancellation, modification, or refund conditions. Failure to arrive without proper cancellation (“no-show”) may result in forfeiture of the applicable deposit or payment, subject to the terms of the reservation. Where a booking platform is used, the cancellation and refund rules of that platform may also apply.

 

  1. Resort Promotions and Gift Certificates

Promotional offers, discounts, vouchers, gift certificates, and special packages are subject to their individual terms and validity periods. Promotions may not be combined unless expressly stated by the Resort. Gift certificates and vouchers are not convertible to cash unless required by applicable law or expressly allowed by the Resort. The Resort reserves the right to verify eligibility for special offers and request supporting documents where applicable.

 

  1. Restaurant, Food and Beverage

Food and beverage services are subject to availability and applicable operating hours. Outside food and beverages may be subject to Resort policies, applicable corkage fees, or restrictions, particularly for events and function areas. Guests must inform the Resort of relevant dietary requirements or allergies before ordering; however, the Resort cannot guarantee an environment completely free from allergens.

 

  1. Swimming Pool and Resort Facilities

Guests use the swimming pool and other recreational facilities at their own risk and must follow posted safety rules and instructions from Resort personnel. Children must be properly supervised by their parents or responsible adults. Guests must observe facility operating hours, capacity limits, dress requirements, and safety regulations. The Resort may temporarily close a facility because of maintenance, weather, safety concerns, private events, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

 

  1. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward Resort employees, other guests, and members of the public.

The following are prohibited:

  • Violence, threats, harassment, or abusive behavior
  • Illegal activities
  • Damage or unauthorized removal of Resort property
  • Excessive noise or behavior that unreasonably disturbs other guests
  • Unauthorized use of restricted areas or facilities
  • Activities that create a safety, security, health, or fire hazard
  • Any conduct prohibited by Philippine law The Resort may require a guest to leave the property, without refund where legally permissible, when the guest’s conduct creates a serious safety, security, or disturbance issue.

 

  1. Damage to Resort Property

Guests may be held responsible for damage, loss, or destruction of Resort property caused by the guest or persons under the guest’s responsibility, subject to applicable law. Reasonable repair, replacement, cleaning, or restoration costs may be charged to the responsible guest.

 

  1. Lost and Found

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The Resort is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property except to the extent required by applicable law. Found items will be handled according to the Resort’s Lost and Found procedures.

 

  1. Valuables and Security

Guests are encouraged to secure valuable belongings properly and avoid leaving valuables unattended. The Resort maintains reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee complete protection against loss, theft, or damage. Guests should immediately report suspicious activity, accidents, injuries, or security concerns to Resort personnel.

 

  1. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances

The Resort shall not be liable for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, power or utility interruptions, transportation disruptions, or other similar events. Where reasonably possible, the Resort will communicate significant changes and assist guests with appropriate alternatives.

 

  1. Guest Privacy

The Resort collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Philippine data protection laws. By transacting with the Resort, guests acknowledge that certain personal information may be processed as necessary to provide services, fulfill reservations, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and perform other legitimate Resort functions.

 

  1. Children and Minors

Parents, guardians, or accompanying adults are responsible for the safety, supervision, and conduct of children under their care while inside the Resort. Certain facilities and activities may have age, height, or safety restrictions.

 

  1. Smoking and Restricted Activities

Smoking, vaping, or similar activities are allowed only in areas designated by the Resort and are subject to applicable Philippine laws and Resort rules. Illegal drugs, weapons, hazardous materials, and other prohibited items are not permitted within the Resort.

 

  1. Events and Functions

Event bookings are subject to a separate event agreement, quotation, banquet contract, or other written terms when applicable. The client is responsible for providing accurate event details, including expected attendance, program requirements, food and beverage arrangements, decorations, suppliers, and other special requirements. Changes to event arrangements may affect the final quotation and are subject to Resort approval and availability.

 

  1. Complaints and Guest Concerns

Guests are encouraged to immediately report concerns to the Resort’s Front Office, Duty Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, or other authorized personnel so that reasonable corrective action may be taken during the guest’s stay. The Resort will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate guest concerns fairly and promptly.

 

  1. Amendments

The Resort may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in its services, facilities, operating procedures, or applicable laws. The Terms and Conditions applicable to a confirmed booking shall be those communicated to the guest at the time of booking, subject to applicable law and any subsequent changes required by law.

 

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted as limiting any rights or protections granted to consumers or guests under applicable Philippine laws and regulations.
